On September 14-17, 2018, the 5th Symposium on Innovative Polymers for Controlled Delivery (SIPCD 2018) was held in Suzhou. Zhiliang Gao (Supervisor: Prof. Jiwei Cui), received the Biomacromolecules Poster Award.

    The SIPCD conference was initiated and organized by the Soochow University Biomedical Polymers Laboratory. It has been held in Suzhou every two years since 2010. This series of conferences has been widely recognized and highly evaluated by domestic and foreign peer experts, and is one of the largest and highest level international academic conferences in the field of biomedical materials and drug delivery.The SIPCD 2018 welcomed about 600 participants from all over the world and invited 32 plenary lectures by worldwide leading experts, 10 short oral presentations selected for Biomacromolecules Forum, and about 350 poster presentations by researchers and PhD students. The conference also received more than 350 posters. Zhiliang Gao, a PhD student in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Shandong University, and another eight scientists from other universities and research institutes such as the National University of Singapore, Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry Chinese Academy of Sciences and Zhejiang University received the Biomacromolecules Poster Award.
